NASSAU COUNTY MINORITY AFFAIRS OFFICE JOINS CARIBBEAN BUSINESS CONNECTIONS TO SHARE HOW MINORITIES CAN SECURE CONTRACTS FROM NASSAU COUNTY

On Nov 12 Caribbean Business Connections will host its monthly business networking event for business owners and professionals at Spices Negril Restaurant, 1085 Grand Ave, South Hempstead, 6 – 8 PM. The topic of the evening’s presentation is “How to Secure Contracts from Nassau County Government” presented by the new Executive Director for Nassau County Office of Minority Affairs, Lionel J. Chitty and the Deputy Director of Nassau County Office of Minority Affairs, Dr. Regina L. Williams.

Nassau County’s procurement office sends out hundreds of RFPs every year inviting various types of businesses to bid on projects in the County. The vendor contract opportunities range from uniform services, construction, marketing, food and beverage supplies, audit services, glass installation, surveillance systems, plumbing, equipment leasing, design services, HVAC, print services, property management and so much more! As part of their mission, the county’s goal is to better engage minority owned businesses and increase the number of bids awarded to minority and female-owned small business.

This event is a great opportunity for the business owner to learn more about how to get certified in the county, get information on upcoming project opportunities and learn how to bid on them. There will be a Q&A session so you can speak directly to our county officials.

This is also business networking event, so you will have the opportunity to connect with your next client or business partner plus delicious Caribbean refreshments will be served. To RSVP go to https://cbcnov12event.eventbrite.com
